Acute Ischemic Stroke is being segmented by mechanism, treatment setting, geography and endpoint architecture. NCT07626541 is notable because it evaluates Fructose in a Phase 2 design sponsored by Capital Medical University. The main development question is whether the protocol can translate its rationale into a clinically interpretable and operationally credible readout.

| Phase / status | Phase 2 / Active, not recruiting |
| Intervention | Fructose |
| Sponsor | Capital Medical University |
| Geography | China |

| Endpoint time frame | Baseline to 7 days after thrombolysis |
| Primary completion / readout proxy | [object Object] |
This is a single-center, prospective, randomized, open-label, blinded-endpoint exploratory clinical study enrolling 46 patients with acute ischemic stroke. All eligible patients have symptom onset within 4.5 hours, meet intravenous thrombolysis indications, and receive standard thrombolysis and routine stroke treatment. Participants are randomly assigned to two groups: the intervention group receives early intravenous infusion of 10% fructose injection plus standard treatment, while the control group receives only standard treatment without fructose. The study mainly evaluates changes in neurological function via NIHSS scores within 7 days after thrombolysis, assesses cerebral infarct lesion volume and brain edema using multimodal MRI including DWI, T2WI and MRS, detects cerebral neuronal metabolic markers, and conducts 1-month follow-up of neurological function by NIHSS score as well as functional prognosis using the mRS score. The res
Allocation is Randomized, masking is Single, and the intervention model is Parallel Assignment. Planned enrollment of [object Object] participants across China shapes statistical precision, execution risk and external validity. Interpretation should account for baseline risk, prior therapy, assessment schedule, missing-data handling and clinical relevance—not only statistical significance.
The current protocol points to [object Object] as the best available readout proxy. Because this is an active or newly posted study, a trial-specific result citation is not included until a normalized clinical-trial-result record becomes available. That gap is itself operationally important: teams should monitor first result indexing, conference abstracts, protocol amendments and changes to the primary-completion date.
Build a living trial monitor: connect to PatSnap MCP Servers and track recruitment, endpoint revisions, projected readouts and new result records without manually reconciling separate databases.
Drug & Asset MCP profile: Fructose is indexed as No normalized modality returned, with target No normalized target returned, mechanism No normalized mechanism returned, and global highest development status No normalized global status returned.
Company & Deal Intelligence MCP profile: Capital Medical University is resolved to a normalized organization record in Beijing Shi, China. The organization workflow adds identity, location, portfolio and partnering context where available.
The sponsor profile matters because scientific rationale alone does not determine development value. Manufacturing readiness, portfolio fit, geographic reach, partnering capacity and the ability to fund confirmatory development can determine whether a positive signal becomes a competitive asset.
Monitor recruitment, enrollment changes, protocol amendments, endpoint hierarchy, primary-completion timing, first result indexing, asset ownership and sponsor partnerships. A change in endpoint, population or ownership can alter the probability of success before a headline data release.
NCT07626541 provides a focused lens on Acute Ischemic Stroke development. Its value will be determined by whether Fructose can convert the current Phase 2 design into evidence that is clinically meaningful, operationally credible and differentiated from competing programs.
