Taylor Tieden for BioSpace On the FDA’s docket this month are two expansion bids, one for GSK’s asthma drug Nucala into COPD and another for Merck’s oral cancer drug for a pair of rare tumors. Amid the growing macro-level headwinds in the vaccine space, the FDA this month is expected to decide on Moderna’s mRNA COVID-19 shot, alongside a handful of other big verdicts. Read below for more. GSK Asks FDA to Approve Asthma Injection Nucala for COPD GSK is proposing its subcutaneous biologic Nucala to treat adult patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with an eosinophilic phenotype. The FDA’s decision is due on May 7. A pulmonary disease, COPD is characterized by inflammation in the lungs, manifesting as breathlessness, coughs and airflow obstruction. According to GSK, some 40% of patients suffer from disease exacerbations caused by type 2 inflammation, which in turn is linked to high eosinophil counts in the blood. Nucala , a monoclonal antibody, targets and blocks the IL-5 cytokine, which is crucial to maintain the activity of eosinophils. GSK is supporting Nucala’s COPD application with data from the Phase III MATINEE trial. The pharma released a topline readout from the study in September 2024, noting that Nucala elicited a “statistically significant and clinically meaningful reduction” in yearly rates of moderate or severe disease exacerbations as opposed to placebo. Nucala is currently approved for eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis and hypereosinophilic syndrome, and as an add-on maintenance treatment for asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. Arcutis Seeks Zoryve Expansion into Body and Scalp Psoriasis By May 22, the FDA will release its verdict on Arcutis Biotherapeutics’ proposed expansion for Zoryve into body and scalp psoriasis. Arcutis is backing its expansion bid with data from the Phase III ARRECTOR trial, which found that 66.4% of Zoryve-treated patients achieved clear or almost-clear skin, as opposed to 27.8% in placebo patients. Results also showed that 65.3% of patients in the Zoryve arm saw significant improvements in itch, versus 30.3% in the placebo group. Arcutis also filed findings from a Phase IIb study as well as long-term efficacy and safety data for Zoryve in plaque psoriasis. Zoryve is a topical phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor that works by helping to suppress inflammation in the skin. The drug won FDA approval in 2011 for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in patients aged 12 years and up. If approved for body and scalp psoriasis, Zoryve would be a “truly meaningful innovation” for patients who suffer from inadequately controlled symptoms, Arcutis CEO Frank Watanabe said in a September 2024 release. Sanofi Eyes Extension of Meningococcal Disease Shot to Infants, Toddlers Sanofi’s meningococcal disease vaccine MenQuadfi is currently approved for the primary immunization of children aged two years and up. As a booster, it can be used in those 13 years and older who continue to be at risk of meningococcal disease. Sanofi is seeking to expand MenQuadfi’s label to also include infants and toddlers from six weeks to 23 months of age. The FDA is currently reviewing this proposal and is due to release its decision on May 23. If approved, MenQuadfi could protect this younger population from the A, C, W and Y serogroups of Neisseria meningitidis . In an April presentation before the CDC’s Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, Sanofi presented data from several trials, including the Phase III MET42 study. Results showed that MenQuadfi was safe to use in infants and toddlers, with most side effects being mild or moderate in severity. Efficacy-wise, MenQuadfi was able to match a commercially approved vaccine in immune response and seroprotection. Liquidia Awaits Final Yutrepia Approval in Interstitial Lung Disease On May 23, Liquidia is expecting to win final approval of its inhalation powder Yutrepia for the treatment of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). The FDA gave the drug tentative approval in August 2024, indicating that it had cleared all efficacy and safety hurdles and satisfied regulatory standards of product quality. However, Liquidia still needed to wait out regulatory exclusivity for a competing product. Yutrepia is Liquidia’s inhalable version of treprostinil, a vasodilator that has known activity against pulmonary hypertension. Yutrepia is backed by data from the Phase III INSPIRE study, which found that the drug was both safe and well-tolerated in patients who were naïve to treprostinil or who were switching to Yutrepia from nebulized treprostinil. The INSPIRE trial found that patients treated with Yutrepia saw symptoms stabilize or improve over one year of dosing. Merck Hopes to Tack Two Rare Cancers Onto Welireg’s Label Merck is hoping to expand its oral cancer drug Welireg into advanced pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL). The FDA’s decision deadline is May 26. PPGL refers to two types of rare tumors of the adrenal gland. Diagnosed in some 2,000 patients per year, they are typically caused by specific genetic mutations. Symptoms include high blood pressure, palpitations and headaches. According to Merck, up to 25% of PPGL cases are already at the metastatic stage at diagnosis. Merck is supporting Welireg’s PPGL bid with data from Cohort A1 of the Phase II LITESPARK-015 study. The pharma did not provide specific data in a January news release , revealing only that the application is based on objective response rate and duration of response in PPGL patients after Welireg treatment. The FDA has granted the drug priority review in this indication. Welireg is an orally available inhibitor of the HIF-2α transcription factor, which is involved in oxygen sensing and in the body’s response to hypoxia. The drug is indicated for patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and those with von Hippel-Lindau disease—a rare genetic disease involving the formation of tumors across various organs—who also require treatment for associated RCC. If approved, Welireg will become the only drug for advanced PPGL in the U.S., Merck said. After Delay, Eton Nears Approval for Oral Hydrocortisone By May 28, the FDA will release its verdict on Eton Pharmaceuticals’ ET-400, an oral formulation of hydrocortisone, for the treatment of adrenal insufficiency in infants. This new target action date comes after the FDA in February announced that it needed more time to review Eton’s data package for ET-400. Eton submitted supplemental information in December last year, in response to a request from the regulator. ET-400 is a proprietary oral formulation of hydrocortisone that, according to the biotech, is stable at room temperature. If approved, ET-400 will follow in the footsteps of Eton’s Alkindi Sprinkle, which also has hydrocortisone as an active ingredient, but is formulated as oral granules. Alkindi Sprinkle, approved in 2020 , is designed to rapidly deliver glucocorticoids to children with adrenocortical insufficiency. In a July 2024 announcement , Eton CEO Sean Brynjelsen said that the approval of ET-400 would allow the biotech to “capture a greater percentage of the oral hydrocortisone market” and, alongside Alkindi Sprinkle, would open up a peak opportunity of “more than $50 million annually.” Moderna Seeks Approval for Next-Generation COVID-19 Shot The FDA’s last big milestone for the month belongs to Moderna and its investigational next-generation COVID-19 vaccine mRNA-1283. The regulator is expected to release its decision on May 31. In June 2024, the company released Phase III data for the experimental shot, touting better efficacy than Spikevax, its currently approved COVID-19 vaccine. Moderna did not provide specific data, only claiming that mRNA-1283 elicited a “higher immune response” against SARS-CoV-2 than Spikevax. Of note, Moderna emphasized at the time that mRNA-1283 could induce robust responses against Omicron and original strains of the virus—a benefit the company claimed was most evident in seniors over 65 years of age. The CDC’s vaccine advisors were supposed to convene in late February to discuss various vaccines, including mRNA-1283, before the meeting was postponed . The panel finally convened last month.

"Demand for our products was strong globally in the first quarter. Ongoing new product launches and successful Phase 3 trial results for several products make us feel confident in our long-term growth prospects," said Robert A. Bradway, chairman and chief executive officer. Key results include: For the first quarter, total revenues increased 9% to $8.1 billion in comparison to the first quarter of 2024. Product sales grew 11%, primarily driven by 14% volume growth, partially offset by 6% lower net selling price. U.S. sales grew 14%. Fourteen products delivered at least double-digit sales growth in the first quarter, including Repatha® (evolocumab), BLINCYTO® (blinatumomab), TEZSPIRE® (tezepelumab-ekko), EVENITY® (romosozumab-aqqg), TAVNEOS® (avacopan) and UPLIZNA® (inebilizumab-cdon). Our launch of IMDELLTRA ® (tarlatamab-dlle) generated $81 million of sales in the quarter and the Phase 3 confirmatory study demonstrated improved overall survival compared to chemotherapy. IMDELLTRA ® launched in Japan in April 2025. GAAP earnings per share (EPS) were $3.20 for the first quarter of 2025 compared with a GAAP loss per share of $0.21 for the first quarter of 2024, resulting from an unrealized gain on our BeiGene, Ltd. equity investment during the first quarter of 2025 compared to an unrealized loss during the prior year period, partially offset by an Otezla® intangible asset impairment charge of $800 million recorded during the first quarter of 2025. For 2025, we expect sales erosion driven by biosimilar competition, particularly in the second half of the year. Rare Disease TEPEZZA® (teprotumumab-trbw) sales decreased 10% year-over-year to $381 million in the first quarter, primarily driven by 9% lower volume and 8% from a decrease in inventory levels, partially offset by higher net selling price. KRYSTEXXA® (pegloticase) sales were flat year-over-year at $236 million in the first quarter, as 11% volume growth was offset by 10% from a decrease in inventory levels. Otezla® (apremilast) sales increased 11% year-over-year to $437 million in the first quarter, driven by 12% favorable changes to estimated sales deductions, as volume growth of 4% was offset by 5% lower net selling price. Enbrel® (etanercept) sales decreased 10% year-over-year to $510 million in the first quarter, driven by 47% lower net selling price resulting from increased 340B Program mix and higher commercial discounts, partially offset by 19% favorable changes to estimated sales deductions, higher inventory levels and volume growth. The year-over-year impact on net selling price is expected to be less pronounced in future quarters. AMJEVITA® (adalimumab-atto)/AMGEVITA™ (adalimumab) sales decreased 19% year-over-year to $136 million in the first quarter, primarily driven by 33% lower net selling price, partially offset by 11% volume growth. WEZLANA™ (ustekinumab-auub)/WEZENLA™ (ustekinumab) generated $150 million of sales in the first quarter. WEZLANA launched in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2025 and is the first FDA-approved biosimilar for the treatment of adult and pediatric plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. PAVBLU® (aflibercept-ayyh) generated $99 million of sales in the first quarter. PAVBLU launched in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of 2024 and is the first available aflibercept biosimilar for the treatment of retinal conditions, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration, macular edema following retinal vein occlusion, diabetic macular edema and diabetic retinopathy. Oncology BLINCYTO® (blinatumomab) sales increased 52% year-over-year to $370 million in the first quarter, primarily driven by volume growth. Vectibix® (panitumumab) sales increased 8% year-over-year to $267 million in the first quarter, driven by volume growth. KYPROLIS® (carfilzomib) sales decreased 14% year-over-year to $324 million in the first quarter, driven by lower volumes due to increased competition. LUMAKRAS®/LUMYKRAS™ (sotorasib) sales increased 4% year-over-year to $85 million in the first quarter, driven by volume growth, partially offset by lower net selling price. XGEVA® (denosumab) sales increased 1% year-over-year to $566 million in the first quarter. For 2025, we expect sales erosion driven by biosimilar competition, particularly in the second half of the year. Nplate® (romiplostim) sales decreased 1% year-over-year to $313 million in the first quarter as volume growth was more than offset by unfavorable changes to estimated sales deductions and foreign exchange impact. Going forward, we expect continued sales erosion driven by competition. Established Products Our established products, which consist of Aranesp® (darbepoetin alfa), Parsabiv® (etelcalcetide) and Neulasta® (pegfilgrastim), generated $557 million of sales in the first quarter. Sales decreased 3% year-over-year for the first quarter, driven by 10% lower net selling price and 3% unfavorable foreign exchange impact, partially offset by favorable changes to estimated sales deductions. Product Sales Detail by Product and Geographic Region Operating Expense, Operating Margin and Tax Rate Analysis On a GAAP basis: Total Operating Expenses increased 8% year-over-year for the first quarter. Cost of Sales as a percentage of product sales decreased 7.3 percentage points driven by lower amortization expense from the fair value step-up of inventory acquired from Horizon and lower manufacturing costs, partially offset by changes in our sales mix. Research & Development (R&D) expenses increased 11% driven by higher spend in later-stage clinical programs, partially offset by lower spend in marketed product support and research and early pipeline. Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) expenses decreased 7% driven by lower commercial product-related expenses and lower Horizon acquisition-related expenses, partially offset by higher general and administrative expenses. Other operating expenses consisted primarily of the Otezla® intangible asset impairment charge of $800 million. Operating Margin as a percentage of product sales increased 1.1 percentage points in the first quarter to 15.0%. First Quarter Product and Pipeline Update The Company provided the following updates on selected product and pipeline programs: General Medicine MariTide (maridebart cafraglutide, AMG 133) MariTide is a differentiated peptide-antibody conjugate that activates the glucagon like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor and antagonizes the gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor (GIPR). MARITIME-1, a Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of maridebart cafraglutide is enrolling adults living with overweight or obesity, without Type 2 diabetes mellitus. MARITIME-2, a Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of maridebart cafraglutide is enrolling adults living with overweight or obesity, with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Planning for additional MARITIME Phase 3 studies across multiple indications remains on track, with additional studies expected to initiate throughout 2025. Part 2 of the Phase 2 chronic weight management study is ongoing in adults living with overweight or obesity, with or without Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Data readout is anticipated in H2 2025. A Phase 2 study investigating MariTide for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus has completed enrollment of adults living with and without obesity. Data readout is anticipated in H2 2025. AMG 513 A Phase 1 study of AMG 513 is enrolling people living with obesity following removal of the clinical hold by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Repatha VESALIUS-CV, a Phase 3 CV outcomes study of Repatha, is ongoing in patients at high CV risk without prior myocardial infarction or stroke. Data readout is event driven and anticipated in H2 2025. EVOLVE-MI, a Phase 4 study of Repatha administered within 10 days of an acute myocardial infarction to reduce the risk of CV events, is ongoing. Olpasiran (AMG 890) Olpasiran is a potentially best-in-class small interfering ribonucleic acid (siRNA) molecule that reduces lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) synthesis in the liver. The OCEAN(a)-outcomes trial, a Phase 3 secondary prevention cardiovascular (CV) outcomes study, is ongoing in patients with atherosclerotic CV disease and elevated Lp(a). A Phase 3 CV outcomes study in patients with elevated Lp(a) and at high risk for a first CV event is expected to be initiated in H2 2025/H1 2026. Rare Disease TAVNEOS A Phase 3, open-label study of TAVNEOS in combination with rituximab or a cyclophosphamide-containing regimen, is enrolling patients from 6 years to < 18 years of age with active ANCA-associated vasculitis (Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA)/Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA)). TEPEZZA Regulatory review is underway in multiple additional geographies, including with the European Medicines Agency (EMA), where approval is anticipated in H2 2025. A Phase 3 study of TEPEZZA in Japan is enrolling patients with chronic/low clinical activity score thyroid eye disease (TED). A Phase 3 study evaluating the subcutaneous route of administration of teprotumumab is enrolling patients with TED. UPLIZNA In April, the FDA approved UPLIZNA for the treatment of Immunoglobulin G4-Related Disease (IgG4-RD) in adult patients. In April, data from the UPLIZNA Phase 3 MINT study in patients with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) were presented and simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine. These data demonstrated durable and sustained efficacy of UPLIZNA treatment compared to placebo (adjusted difference, -1.8 at week 26; −2.8 at week 52) as measured by the change in baseline of Myasthenia Gravis Activities of Daily Living (MG-ADL) score in the acetylcholine receptor autoantibody-positive (AChR+) subpopulation through week 52. Among the AChR+ patients in the UPLIZNA group, 72% had a ≥3 point improvement in the MG-ADL score, compared to 45% in placebo at week 52. No new safety signals were identified. The FDA has accepted the regulatory submission of the MINT Phase 3 data with a PDUFA date of December 14, 2025. Dazodalibep Dazodalibep is a fusion protein that inhibits CD40L. Two Phase 3 studies of dazodalibep in Sjögren's disease are enrolling patients. The first study is in patients with moderate-to-severe systemic disease activity, and the second study is in patients with moderate-to-severe symptomatic burden and low systemic disease activity. Daxdilimab Daxdilimab is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting immunoglobulin-like transcript 7 (ILT7). A Phase 2 study of daxdilimab is ongoing in patients with moderate-to-severe active primary discoid lupus erythematosus refractory to standard of care. A Phase 2 study of daxdilimab is ongoing in patients with dermatomyositis and antisynthetase inflammatory myositis. Inflammation TEZSPIRE Two Phase 3 studies of TEZSPIRE were initiated and are enrolling adults with moderate to very severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and a BEC ≥ 150 cells/µl. In March, data from the Phase 3 WAYPOINT study of TEZSPIRE in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) were presented and simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine demonstrating that treatment with TEZSPIRE: significantly reduced Nasal Polyp Score (NPS) by -2.065 at week 52. significantly reduced nasal congestion (measured by participant-reported Nasal Congestion Score [NCS]) by -1.028 at week 52. Improvements in NPS were observed as early as week four, and NCS as early as week two, and were sustained through week 52. significantly reduced the need for nasal polyp surgery by 98%. significantly reduced the need for systemic corticosteroid treatment by 88%. had a safety profile consistent with its approved severe asthma indication. The FDA has accepted the regulatory submission of the WAYPOINT Phase 3 data with a PDUFA date of October 19, 2025. A Phase 3 study of TEZSPIRE is enrolling patients with eosinophilic esophagitis. Rocatinlimab (AMG 451/KHK4083) Rocatinlimab is a first-in-class T-cell rebalancing monoclonal antibody that inhibits and reduces OX40-positive pathogenic T-cells. The eight study ROCKET Phase 3 program evaluating rocatinlimab in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) has enrolled over 3,300 patients. Enrollment is now complete in seven studies. In March, detailed data were presented from the ROCKET HORIZON Phase 3 study, which met its co-primary and all key secondary endpoints. In March, data were announced from three additional ROCKET program Phase 3 studies: The IGNITE study, which evaluated two dose strengths of rocatinlimab, met its co-primary endpoints and all key secondary endpoints at week 24: 42.3% of patients in the higher dose group achieved ≥75% reduction from baseline in Eczema Area and Severity Index score (EASI-75), a 29.5% difference vs. placebo. In the lower dose group, 36.3% of patients achieved EASI-75, a 23.4% difference vs. placebo. 23.6% of patients in the higher dose group achieved a validated Investigator's Global Assessment for Atopic Dermatitis (vIGA-AD™) score of 0 (clear) or 1 (almost clear) with a ≥2-point reduction from baseline (vIGA-AD 0/1), a 14.9% difference vs. placebo. In the lower dose group, 19.1% of patients achieved this endpoint, a 10.3% difference vs. placebo. 22.7% of patients in the higher dose group achieved a revised Investigator's Global Assessment (rIGA™) score of 0/1 with a ≥2-point reduction from baseline (a more stringent measure of efficacy than vIGA-AD 0/1), a 14.4% difference vs. placebo. In the lower dose group, 16.3% of patients achieved this endpoint, an 8.0% difference vs. placebo. The SHUTTLE study, which evaluated two dose strengths of rocatinlimab in combination with topical corticosteroids (TCS) and/or topical calcineurin inhibitors (TCI), met its co-primary endpoints and all key secondary endpoints at week 24. (NASDAQ: REGN) today announced 24 abstracts on Dupixent® (dupilumab) clinical data and real-world analyses in respiratory diseases will be presented at the American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference 2025 being held from May 18 to 21 in San Francisco, California . U.S. INDICATIONS DUPIXENT is a prescription medicine used: to treat adults and children 6 months of age and older with moderate-to-severe eczema (atopic dermatitis or AD) that is not well controlled with prescription therapies used on the skin (topical), or who cannot use topical therapies. DUPIXENT can be used with or without topical corticosteroids. It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with atopic dermatitis under 6 months of age. with other asthma medicines for the maintenance treatment of moderate-to-severe eosinophilic or oral steroid dependent asthma in adults and children 6 years of age and older whose asthma is not controlled with their current asthma medicines. DUPIXENT helps prevent severe asthma attacks (exacerbations) and can improve your breathing. DUPIXENT may also help reduce the amount of oral corticosteroids you need while preventing severe asthma attacks and improving your breathing. It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with asthma under 6 years of age. with other medicines for the maintenance treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) in adults and children 12 years of age and older whose disease is not controlled. It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps under 12 years of age. to treat adults and children 1 year of age and older with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), who weigh at least 33 pounds (15 kg). It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with eosinophilic esophagitis under 1 year of age, or who weigh less than 33 pounds (15 kg). to treat adults with prurigo nodularis (PN). It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with prurigo nodularis under 18 years of age. with other medicines for the maintenance treatment of adults with inadequately controlled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and a high number of blood eosinophils (a type of white blood cell that may contribute to your COPD). DUPIXENT is used to reduce the number of flare-ups (the worsening of your COPD symptoms for several days) and can improve your breathing. It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease under 18 years of age. to treat adults and children 12 years of age and older with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) who continue to have hives that are not controlled with H1 antihistamine treatment. It is not known if DUPIXENT is safe and effective in children with chronic spontaneous urticaria under 12 years of age, or who weigh less than 66 pounds (30 kg). DUPIXENT is not used to relieve sudden breathing problems and will not replace an inhaled rescue medicine. DUPIXENT is not used to treat any other forms of hives (urticaria). Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Especially tell your healthcare provider if you are taking oral, topical, or inhaled corticosteroid medicines; have asthma and use an asthma medicine; or have atopic dermatitis, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, eosinophilic esophagitis, prurigo nodularis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or chronic spontaneous urticaria, and also have asthma. Do not change or stop your other medicines, including corticosteroid medicine or other asthma medicine, without talking to your healthcare provider. This may cause other symptoms that were controlled by those medicines to come back. DUPIXENT can cause serious side effects, including: Allergic reactions. DUPIXENT can cause allergic reactions that can sometimes be severe. Stop using DUPIXENT and tell your healthcare provider or get emergency help right away if you get any of the following signs or symptoms: breathing problems or wheezing, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, fainting, dizziness, feeling lightheaded, fast pulse, fever, hives, joint pain, general ill feeling, itching, skin rash, swollen lymph nodes, nausea or vomiting, or cramps in your stomach-area. Eye problems. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any new or worsening eye problems, including eye pain or changes in vision, such as blurred vision. Your healthcare provider may send you to an ophthalmologist for an exam if needed Inflammation of your blood vessels. Rarely, this can happen in people with asthma who receive DUPIXENT. This may happen in people who also take a steroid medicine by mouth that is being stopped or the dose is being lowered. Tell your healthcare provider right away if you have: rash, chest pain, worsening shortness of breath, brown or dark colored urine, persistent fever, or a feeling of pins and needles or numbness of your arms or legs. Psoriasis. This can happen in people with atopic dermatitis and asthma who receive DUPIXENT. Tell your healthcare provider about any new skin symptoms. Your healthcare provider may send you to a dermatologist for an examination if needed. Joint aches and pain. Some people who use DUPIXENT have had trouble walking or moving due to their joint symptoms, and in some cases needed to be hospitalized. Tell your healthcare provider about any new or worsening joint symptoms. Your healthcare provider may stop DUPIXENT if you develop joint symptoms. The most common side effects include: Eczema: injection site reactions, eye and eyelid inflammation, including redness, swelling, and itching, sometimes with blurred vision, dry eye, cold sores in your mouth or on your lips, and high count of a certain white blood cell (eosinophilia). Asthma: injection site reactions, high count of a certain white blood cell (eosinophilia), pain in the throat (oropharyngeal pain), and parasitic (helminth) infections. Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps: injection site reactions, eye and eyelid inflammation, including redness, swelling, and itching, sometimes with blurred vision, high count of a certain white blood cell (eosinophilia), gastritis, joint pain (arthralgia), trouble sleeping (insomnia), and toothache. Eosinophilic Esophagitis: injection site reactions, upper respiratory tract infections, cold sores in your mouth or on your lips, and joint pain (arthralgia). Prurigo Nodularis: eye and eyelid inflammation, including redness, swelling, and itching, sometimes with blurred vision, herpes virus infections, common cold symptoms (nasopharyngitis), dizziness, muscle pain, and diarrhea. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: injection site reactions, common cold symptoms (nasopharyngitis), high count of a certain white blood cell (eosinophilia), viral infection, back pain, inflammation inside the nose (rhinitis), diarrhea, gastritis, joint pain (arthralgia), toothache, headache, and urinary tract infection. Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria: injection site reactions. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effect that bothers you or that does not go away.
