Clinical Trials associated with JNJ-64140284A 3-Part, Randomized, Placebo-controlled, Double-blind, Single Dose Study to Investigate Safety and Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of JNJ-64140284 in Healthy Male Participants
The purpose of the study is to investigate and compare the pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles of a single dose of two solid dosage formulations of JNJ-64140284 in plasma and urine in healthy male participants under fed and fasting conditions; and to investigate the safety and tolerability of two solid dosage formulations of JNJ 64140284 versus placebo after single oral dose administration in healthy male participants under fed and fasting conditions in Part 1; to investigate the safety and tolerability of JNJ-64140284 versus placebo after single oral dose administration (or 1 divided dose, if applicable) (ascending dose levels) in healthy male participants; and to characterize the PK of a single dose (or 1 divided dose, if applicable) of JNJ-64140284 in plasma in healthy male participants in Part 2; and to investigate the effect of food on the PK of a single (or 1 divided dose, if applicable) therapeutic relevant dose of JNJ 64140284 in healthy male participants; and to investigate the safety and tolerability of JNJ-64140284 versus placebo after single oral dose administration at a therapeutic relevant dose (or 1 divided dose, if applicable) in fed conditions in Part 3.
A Randomized, Open-Label, 5-way Crossover Study in Healthy Male Participants to Evaluate the Bioavailability, Food Effect, Safety and Tolerability of Two Oral Solid Dosage Formulations Relative to an Oral Solution Formulation of JNJ-64140284.
The purpose of this study is to compare the pharmacokinetic profile of a single dose of two solid dosage formulations relative to a reference formulation (solution in polyethylene glycol-400 [PEG-400]) of JNJ-64140284 in healthy male participants under fasting condition and to assess the effect of food on the bioavailability of two solid dosage formulations of JNJ-64140284.
An Open-Label Study to Investigate the AMPAɣ8 Receptor Occupancy of JNJ-64140284 With the Newly Developed TARP-γ8 PET Tracer [18F]JNJ-64511070 in Healthy Men
The purpose of this study is to measure the blocking of [18F]JNJ-64511070 binding in the brain at the time after administration of a drug when the maximum plasma concentration is reached; when the rate of absorption equals the rate of elimination (tmax) of JNJ-64140284 and determine the exposure/receptor interaction of JNJ-64140284 in healthy male participants following single oral dose administration of JNJ-64140284.
