The strategic move enhances Essential Pharma’s portfolio of central nervous system (CNS) medicines and expands its global footprint, particularly in Asia-Pacific. Essential Pharma will now hold rights to Reminyl in the European Economic Area, South Korea, Thailand and all other existing markets for this product. The deal excludes the UK and Ireland, Japan and Latin America.

The acquisition aligns with Essential Pharma’s focus on CNS, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and rare diseases. Essential operates in more than 70 countries and is supported by healthcare investment firm Gyrus Capital.
