Through their new partnership, Alimentiv gets exclusive access to Satisfai's SmartScore Central Reading technology and Virgo's cloud-based, high-definition video-capture system.
Canadian CRO Alimentiv has partnered with Satisfai Health and Virgo Surgical Video Solutions to leverage artificial intelligence and precision imaging in the gastrointestinal clinical trial arena.
The trio of companies aims to upend traditional approaches to data capture, decision support and patient recruitment in clinical trials targeting inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other gastrointestinal conditions.
Alimentiv has built up a reputation in IBD trials, while Satisfai is known for developing AI solutions for gastroenterology. Meanwhile, Virgo specializes in endoscopy video capture technology. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
“Clinical trials have many pain points, and this strategic partnership will enable advances in improving the efficiency of clinical trials and make some significant changes to how trials are run,” Alimentiv CEO Jeff Smith said in a release.
With the deal, Alimentiv gets exclusive access to Satisfai's SmartScore Central Reading technology and Virgo's cloud-based, high-definition video-capture system.
