CellProthera and Alfresa Sign MOU to Advance ProtheraCytes Phase 3 in Japan

CellProthera has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alfresa Holdings Corporation to establish a strategic collaboration for the development and future distribution of its lead product candidate ProtheraCytes in Japan.
CellProtherat follows the recent publication of the EXCELLENT cliAlfresa Holdings Corporationing the therapeutic potential of ProtheraCytes, an autologous CD34+ stem-cell product expanded through CellProthera’s unique manufacturing process, designed to regenerate cardiac tissue and improve cardiac function following acute myocardial infarction.
Under the terms of the MoU, the 2 companies intend to negotiate a definitive collaboration and licensing agreement covering thProtheraCytesnd financing of a phase 3 clinical trial in Japan as well as the future distribution of ProtheraCytes in the Japanese market.acute myocardial infarction
