To establish identification method of Asiaticoside and Madecassoside and determine the contents of Asiaticoside in Jixuegan pill, TLC was selected for identifying Asiaticoside and Madecassoside and HPLC was selected for determining Asiaticoside content.The quant. evaluation of Asiaticoside was linear in the range of 0.91-45 μg (r = 0.9999) with average recovery of 98.9%.The methods was accurate and specific, and could be used for identification and determination of Jixuegan pill, a Traditional Chinese medicine prepared from Centella asiatica to treat wetness-heat and carbuncle etc.

TLC identification of Rhizoma cyperi and HPLC determination of ferulic acid in Xin Tong Ning Pill

The objective was to establish the identification method of Rhizoma cyperi and determination method of ferulic acid in Xin Tong Ning pill.TLC was used for identification of α-cyperone in Rhizoma cyperi and HPLC for determination of ferulic acid.Hypersil-ODS C₁₈ column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5μm) inspection wavelength was at 323 nm and the follow rate was 1 mL/min, with methanol-water-acetic acidas mobile phase.The quant. evaluation of ferulic acid exhibited a linear range of 0.005-0.5 μg (r = 0.9999, n = 6), with an average recovery of 98.0% (n = 6).The result of TLC identification was up to requirement.The above methods are accurate and specific for qual. anal. of Rhizoma cyperi and determination of ferulic acid in Xin Tong Ning Pill.
