/ RecruitingNot Applicable Clinical Feasibility of a Novel Setup Algorithm for BackBeat Medical's Cardiac Neuromodulation Therapy (CNT) Pacing Signals
After meeting all inclusion/exclusion criteria, subjects on standard pacing with the Moderato® Implantable Pulse Generator (IPG) will be subjected to two set-up sessions for the CNT algorithm: at week 4 and at week 6 post implant. At the end of these visits, subjects will undergo a 24 ambulatory blood pressure recording after which CNT will be automatically turned OFF and standard pacing will resume.
The ambulatory data will provide the basis for a lasting CNT programming by week 8. Follow up visits will be scheduled after 3, 6, and 12 months.

In a multicenter non-randomized acute setting, eligible subjects requiring implant or replacement of an IPG (pacemaker, ICD, CRT-P, CRT-D) will be instrumented to study the effect of CNT from different locations in the RV. CNT effects on BP will be evaluated with a PV conductance catheter in the LV, and with optional BP catheters in the aorta and/or RV. CNT will be delivered by externally by the BackBeat Moderato System IPG.

/ Unknown statusNot Applicable Microneurography MSNA Measurements for Evaluating the Effect of BackBeat Medical Cardiac Neuromodulation Therapy (CNT) on Sympathetic Activity: An Acute Study
Measurement and recording of Muscle Sympathetic Neural Activity (MSNA) using microneurography, will be applied to subjects who have been already implanted with a Moderato IPG delivering the BackBeat CNT and/or pacing signals. Several tests will be performed by experienced professionals to ensure the acquired sympathetic nerve signals arise from the targeted nerve source.
The Moderato Programmer will be then used to program different sets of CNT for several minutes with a several minutes interval between delivery periods. This delivery pattern is used will allow to acquire sympathetic nerve signals with and without CNT. Subject blood pressure, respiration and ECG data will be collected and recorded, both for safety and for evaluation of CNT dependent secondary indicators of sympathetic activity.
