Pretreatment (125 mg/kg, i.p.) with disulfiram and diethyldithiocarbamate, inhibitors of cardiac dopamine β-hydroxylase, as well as with the structurally related compounds, ethyldithiocarbamate, dimethyldithiocarbamate, tetramethylthiuram disulfide, and tetramethylthiuram monosulfide, had no significant effect on the uptake, short-term storage, or release of exogenously administered tritiated noradrenaline in the rat heart.
