The crystallization process of Rifamycin Sodium was optimized by orthogonal design of experimentsAfter adding sodium bicarbonate solution into the washed Bu acetate solution of rifamycin, SV extract liquid titer is about 80,000-90,000 r/mL, sodium bicarbonate solution concentration is 6%, reaction-temperature is 30°, the temperature should be rapidly reduced to less than 10° after complete crystallization, stirring speed is little fast than middle speed.Under above conditions, quality and yield of our products can be guaranteed.

Based on crystallization mechanism of rifampicin, effect of solvents ratio on crystallization of rifampicin was investigated, and the best crystallization conditions were determined by comparing static crystallization results with dynamic crystallization results.

Based on the rifamycin B and rifamycin O physicochem. properties, the inorganic ceramic membrane was used twice in rifamycin O manufacturing process, and the optimum technol. parameters were determined, the traditional process was optimized to improve yield and quality of the product, at the same time the solvent consumption was reduced to save the cost.
